Developing news in regards to the status of Pro Wrestling Asylum have come to light.
In a behind the scenes legal battle, Mercedes Mauler has swept the company out from beneath Sylas Styles' feet. Sylas had boughten out the entire company by sneakily snatching up shares left and right until he had a majority share. He sucessfully changed the companies name, talent roster, and overall business model conducting things in his own way. What the public didn't know was that back when Sylas and Mercedes were married, their was a prenuptual clause preventing Sylas from sabotaging UPW in the event of their divorce. Many close to Sylas believe he waited a few years hoping it would be a forgotten clause, and acted at the irking of current wife, Kim Hunter, to solidify a company of their own. It was at the hands of former friend and ally, Tommy Mauler that legal proceedings were rushed, and Sylas' takeover was overthrown by not only a judge, but the IWC as a whole as well.
The IWC ruled that it was indeed unfair for Sylas' to spend all the money he did, to not get anything back in return. A meeting was held with Sylas, his wife Kim, Mercedes and brother Tommy Mauler and a legal rep of the IWC. An agreement was made between them all to own equal shares of the company, to find a new name (which couldn't be UPW, or PWA) and take the company into a new direction as a collective. What they didn't know was that they were being "gifted" a third equal partner who still to this day has remained annonymous. Speculations range from Mr Silva who was given the boot from Viral Wrestling. To Cain Mason, former talent scout and head writer for UPW who moved into an agreement with Innovation Wrestling. Even other owners from the other IWC companies are being linked to this third partner.
From the ashes of Ultimate Pro Wrestling, came Pro Wrestling Asylum, and now, reaching it's full potential as a world touring company known as Elite Wrestling Entertainment. This would explain the emergence of an "unknown" company emerging on the scene without so much as a promotional video, advertisements, or anything media related. eWe has already run a few shows overseas, mainly in Britain, Japan and down in Mexico. The third partner has amassed a few signings who somehow remained under the major league radar, but have tremendous talent. What really stands out though, is the apparent buyout of Japanese Hardstyle Wrestling, which closed their doors permanently on August 11th.
Established talent return, new talent discovered, and the big names from the independent scene now come together to form a traveling world wide company. As of right now, all we know are the companies champion, William Roderick, and it's "Triple Terror Champion", newly arrived on the scene roster member, Johnny Omega. eWe reps have revealed a tournament for the womens championship, which has yet to be named, or atleast revealed publicly.
Everything else about the company, is purely speculation...
