After watching the hour live stream, I came away with more positives than negatives. Gamers and efedders first need to realize I don't think there will ever be a game to satisfy everything for everyone. But this game may be pretty close or at least closer than we've had. I had doubts but here is my take on what I saw.
First off Create A Belt.
Many are probably wondering how good it will be. It isn't perfect but I really liked what I saw. Limited in types of plates but it makes up for designs and how you can layer it. It is a major improvement and for feds it's what we been wanting. No more using wwe style logos as these plates from what I could tell give you a smooth template to design however you want. Like I said the templates are limited but at least for VW it will mean our own types of belts.
Next was Create An Arena.
This was a huge upgrade. Those that make arenas will find out this gives you more options to design basically any type of arena and venue you are looking for. I believe there are 25 more arena templates to choose from. Which gives you styles like outside to give us Indy owners what we want. If you want to design a backyard style arena you can. So for all us nostalgic guys and gals that is a plus. You can generate that grainy atmosphere like the old ECW or pre WCW if you want. Reminds me a lot of UWA. But also keeps the modern venues for those that like that. What I like is the options with this.
Next was Superstar Heads/Threads.
I am not big into this as many could be. But this is something where you can make your versions of a WWE Star. That is limited as not everyone you can make from the in game characters. But it does let you do it by changing not only colors but attires. Gives you thr the option to take stuff out or add like tats and so on. Maybe you want Orton without tats or Jericho with a new look. You can do that. Should see some interesting stuff on CC when the game comes out.
Last thing was Caw Slots/Moves
This was probably in my opinion the biggest upgrade. We want moves and room for our stuff. There will be 100 slots instead of 50 which gives us room to do many things. You can have room for your indy Fed plus room to dl your buddies caws. Plus all the moves from WWE '13 including DLC from '13 will be in 2K14. So your caws moves are safe but with new characters there will be more and new moves. Those weren't discussed too much as next week that will be talked.
Final Thoughts
I am hopeful for this game. My doubts are that DLC could let us down but feel that will be solid since the rest of the game looks pretty good. The Catapult Finishers I'm worried will be performed like last year's OMG moments and feel that is one of the few negatives. But we won't know till we play it. Not too mention new OMG scenes/moments. Hopefully 2K has fixed that. With the high volume of characters I hope the moves fit the character and not give them moves just to fill it. I do believe 2K won't do that but it is a concern. I am really looking forward into getting it and see the new characters/entrances/moves. Looking forward in seeing you peeps and your creations. Should be awesome and like always feel free to comment.
Peace!
