Before the next match begins, "Absolute Zero" pounds through the arena, and The Sarge walks out onto the stage. He stands at the ramp and holds up his half of the VW World Tag Team titles, points out to the crowd and snaps a sharp salute in their direction! The crowd goes crazy, and some of the men in uniform that are in attendance salute Sarge back.
Sarge climbs up onto the ring apron, looks out over the crowd once again before stepping between the ropes. He then gets the fans fired up as he climbs the turnbuckles and holds his title belt up high once again.
Brent Starr. I'm not out here to play little kiddie games, or throw insults around. I am here to give credit where it's due. Son....you hit hard! REAL hard. In our match the other night, when you hit me with that Bull Hammer elbow shot...my life almost flashed before my eyes. Sarge removes his sunglasses to reveal a huge, dark bruise on his left eye.
I was out cold. That says something about you. Not many guys can say they knocked The Sarge out. Usually, it's the other way around. You almost got the better of me that night.
Almost.
I was down for the count, but something kept me from laying there and taking the loss. Something....in here. **points to his chest** Inside this chest beats the heart of a battled tested warrior! I've seen and done things on the battlefield, in wars all over this planet, that would make most of you people piss your pants. I've been injured, taken shrapnel, received concussions, and shed more blood, sweat and tears than you can imagine....all in the struggle to preserve the freedom you and every last one of the people sitting here tonight take for granted! Let me tell ya something, son. In this life, you NEVER take ANYTHING for granted. Most people don't care about something until it's gone. Whether it's my life, my career in this ring, or the tag team belts Strike Force and I now hold.....I take nothing for granted. I will fight and defend everything I hold dear until my final breath. When you hit me with that elbow, I kicked out solely because my heart refused to let me fail.
But, if I took one thing away from that match, it was the memory of it all. Or, at least, what I could still recall after having my eggs scrambled. Ha ha ha ha ha... What I'm saying, Brent....is that you impressed the Hell out of me. You're a tough son of a bitch, and I would be honored if you would come down to this ring right now, and accept my offer to face me again....one on one.
