Lucy steps out of her limo, a briefcase in hand. She knows where she is going, and she knows what she has to do. She has read the legal papers which have come across her desk since Rise To Stardom IV. It was probably a good thing that Lionheart dropped to the ring canvas in the middle of his match with Avenger. He couldn't have handled the extra stress of this pending lawsuit.
Finally she finds the office of the man she is looking for.. Pro Wrestling Live's rat of a promoter. Knocking, she enters, and wastes no time in getting down to business. Throwing the contents of her briefcase onto the table, paperwork, pre-signed by her. She just hoped her 'peace offering' was good enough.
I know that this company was left in near ruin in 2011 when Chris Lionheart yanked my husband Jason Youngblood up to the major leagues in Innovation:Wrestling to take part in the MoneyMakerInc storyline. Jason has told me that he never felt right about leaving you guys in the lurch after the way you had positioned the company around him.
Lucy motions to the picture hung on the wall behind PWL's promoter.
He took that huge fall through the cage, was injured, and was being built-up as the biggest sympathetic face with a comeback story to rival any other. He knows it was a shitty deal to leave, scrapping all the months of plans you had built around him. But I want you to know that he had no choice. LH pulled his contract, and without that we wouldn't have been able to make enough money on the independents to continue to pay for our six year old's private school fees. I hope you can understand his position. But I am here as the new authority in charge of Innovation:Wrestling to talk about this lawsuit you have pending against the company. You will probably get a little bit of money if you win. But let's be honest. That's not what you really need, is it? It's taken you almost two years just to get back to where you used to be before Jason was forced to leave. What you really need to re-build your brand is star power and events with a big-time feel about them. So I wanted to offer you a peace offering. If you accept, this lawsuit is dropped and never spoken of again, understand?
PWL's promoter is clearly interested, but he merely nods.
The paperwork is all pre-signed on my end, all you have to do is sign and the deal is done. I want to transfer all copyrights and trademarks over to PWL for 'AllStars' and 'Collision Course'. These are two 'big time' tournaments - one singles based and one team based - that could really cause some excitement on the independent scene. You will have to co-promote them with other independent leagues, such as UPW for example, because these will be the biggest 'SuperClash' Interfed PPVs the independants have ever seen. And what's more I can personally guarantee that I will send I:W talent to compete - including myself and Jason. And former PWL alumni Bobby Wiliams. I am sure that ViralPro's Ashley Silva will not miss an opportunity to try to one-up Innovation:Wrestling, so I expect that she would join-in too. What do you say?
PWL's promoter simply lifts his pen and signs the contracts. Then stands to give Lucy a non-genuine hug. Then starts talking to her like they have always been best buddies. The schmuck!
