Marty St. Cool relaxes in his office, leaned back in his chair, his feet up on his desk. He felt great at having just finished the re-branding of his independent company. Once upon a time two struggling independent companies had been bought-out by Chris Lionheart, and the All American Wrestling and Canadian Wrestling Alliance were merged into one to create Can-Am Wrestling. And then, just as quickly as Lionheart had came, he left for the newly returning TNB Wrestling in 2009. Which, of course, later became known as Innovation:Wrestling.
Lionheart sold CAW to Marty St. Cool, and Marty had spent the last few years operating as a wrestling training school rather than an independent promotion, and as a farm league for I:W. But now it was time to call-back some of it's more well known graduates which were languishing at I:W and weren't being showcased on television. Marty had just completed a re-branding of his company into 'Classic Action Wrestling', and was ready to attempt an expansion, try to become the de facto 'number 3' promotion behind Innovation:Wrestling and ViralPro - no matter what PWL or anyone else wanted.
In order to expand his operation, he would need to suck up his pride and enter into a working relationship with PWL's owner Randall Grimes. He picked-up the phone...
Grimes? This is Marty St. Cool from Classic Action Wrestling. I saw your announcement about Indy AllStars. I want 'in' on that in a big way, but I wanted to talk to you about something else. I'm primed to expand. I'm calling some of our bigger alumni back home. You know, Seth Owens and Micheal St. Star. I wanted to know if you would allow me to have St. Star be apart of that cult that your guy Chris Caution is rolling with, and use that storyline to bridge the gap between our two companies. Maybe someday it could evolve into a larger Civil War type of storyline too -- you will? Great! That's mighty fine of you...
Marty grins from ear to ear. He was loving this.
Wait, what's that, you have an idea of your own? Lay it on me big guy. Ladder match. Two falls. Umhmm, gottit. You want PWL's Light Heavyweight title and CAW's Cruiserweight title hung above the ring and the winner gets both belts? I love it. We both have Hardcore Titles in our companies too, you know. Ah ha, already thinking ahead of me are you? Well sure, I got no bones about doing a similar deal with the Hardcore titles either. This should be fun. Alright then, I'll speak to you soon.
Marty's grin gets even wider. What better way to showcase his talent, and let everybody know that the best talent competes in Classic Action?
