Deal pending court approval, but publisher anticipates “that it will be finalized shortly.” by Andrew Goldfarb February 13, 2013
Take-Two has confirmed that it has made a deal to publish WWE games moving forward. In a statement provided to IGN, a 2K representative said the following:
"We can confirm that we have entered into an agreement to publish the WWE video game series that is developed by Yukes. At this time, the agreement is pending court approval and we anticipate that it will be finalized shortly. We are very excited about the potential of this agreement and will have more to share at the appropriate time.”
Prior to its bankruptcy filing in December, the WWE license was held by THQ. We first reported last month that Take-Two would be taking over, though this is the first time that Yukes has been confirmed as the developer.
We’ll update this story once the deal is finalized and Take-Two provides additional information.

Good to hear. But what I really want to know is if 2K are the kind of company that simply leave the previous game's stuff fucking in and update the roster, or not? I can't believe the kind of great game we'd have if the SD/SVR/WWE series had simply been 'added-onto' over the past decade instead of taking out match types/movesets and ai features.
