From the desk of PWL's Randall Grimes,
A lot has happened at the CAW-PWL Bad Intentions event last night.
First CAW's Jacob Cass returned to PWL to defend the PWL Light Heavyweight Title against Red Star's PWL Heroes Del Mascaras title. Both men had a lot on the line. Red had to defend his belt and bring the lost title back to PWL. Cass was facing an ultimatum to prove himself to Classic Action boss Marty St. Cool. Embarrass PWL, and he'd consider Cass's request to remove the cruiser weight limit and have the belt re-birthed as the CAW "Classic Action" belt; eligible for high flyers and mat technicians to fight over rather than just high flyers. Cass admittedly wiped the floor with Red Star, thus taking the PWL Heroes Del Mascaras title away from PWL as well!
Lemme just say right now underneath the Red Star mask, was CAW's Micheal St. Star. And his performance tonight showed me that either he and Cass were in-cahoots, or PWL is ill-served using CAW talent under different gimmicks - because they suck! Someone is going to have to really make waves in CAW's paddling pool if they want PWL to look at using them for extra pay days in the future.
I took center stage half-way through the night to issue a statement, effectively excommunicating the Heroes Del Mascaras title, but vowing to send someone after Cass to retrieve the Light Heavyweight title. That someone was 'Redneck' Jeff Rigby who was riding high after earlier taking-back his PWL Hardcore title from Pitbull, leaving Pitbull title-less after his brother Rottweiler had taken the PWL World Title from him at a previous PWL event. Rigby was more than a little full of himself when he stated that after he beat Cass and brought the Light Heavyweight title back home, that he would be the ultimate example of Xtreme Violance - referencing the weekly PWL tv show - and as such he wanted the Hardcore title renamed to reflect that.
Unfortunately for both Cass and Rigby there was already a challenger waiting in the wings, salivating at the thought of getting his hands on both of them. Someone who wanted to beat Cass to regain physical possession of the Heroes Del Mascaras title for his own reasons. Someone who disputed Rigby's claim of being the best. 'Mr. Wrestling', formerly of ViralPro, would put himself on the independent map in a big way by the end of the night. First he beat Rigby in a non-title hardcore match by using traditional wrestling moves, stating after the match that anyone can use weapons to their advantage, but he just proved that he was the better wrestler. I sat at ringside and applauded throughout all the match, and I guess Rigby won't be getting the PWL Hardcore title renamed any time soon - because fuck him. Secondly 'Mr. Wrestling' beat Jacob Cass to end the little winning streak he had been on. As 'Mr. Wrestling' held the newly regained Heroes Del Mascaras title high with one hand, I passed him a microphone. He said that he liked the look of the title, with the helmets on the faceplate, adding that he was a true 'warrior' in the ring. He put the exclamation point on by saying that he could take any high flyer - or even a heavier opponent - from CAW or PWL, ground them and tie them in knots! Ladies and Gentlemen, you have just witnessed the birth of the PWL 'Warriors of the Ring' title, for high flyers and ring technicians. How's 'that' for Classic Action, Marty?
Note: Now that the early smoke has cleared and things have become more clear, in the future any events from CAW or PWL will include match reviews just like UPW has done it's first two events.
