The next starts as crowd roars as highlights from the previous night is displayed.
First, AJ goes toe to toe with a young Alex Shoque. They battle with Shoque having Pain on the ropes but missed a top rope maneuver and AJ wins by submission.
Next Joker and Stryker Reed battle for 18 mins. Joker giving shots and shots. Stryker reversing and landing power moves. Joker had more mat ability and Stryker's aggression was his downfall as Joker lands his finisher (Trouble in paradise) and covers for the win.
Next match marks former BWA World Champion vs Evan Quinn. Bobby had too much experience and wrestling ability as Evan was out matched as it was a quick victory for Bobby Williams.
The next match was legendary Scott Manor vs the high octane Scott Joseph. Manor showed why he is one of the favorites as he disposed of Joseph in high fashion. Joseph was not in his league but showed why he is a rising star. He battled but in the end the big boot to the face with multiple hardcore moves was the difference.
Matthias Marlfox and Jason Youngblood was next. The most anticipated match of the night. 20 minutes of non stop action. The legend Youngblood has a following but that didn't intimidate Marlfox. What was the best match of the night ended in a reversal and powerslam pin as Marlfox had a great victory over a quality opponent.
Last match of the night was Malachi Payne vs The Avenger. Two powerhouses but the legend and more experienced Avenger was too much for Payne. Destroying a table and landing his finisher (Fire Thunder) for the victory under 10 minutes. Malachi was strong but it was obvious he had ring rust.
What a first night and fans we are off to round 2 and the matches get better. All the big names wrestle and here are the matchups as we move closer in deciding our Southern Champion. But before I do that, the losers of last night don't fret because you are in the Mid South Championship as those names will be paired later. But let's give you the pairings for the Southern Championship.
Joker vs Sentoryu Brent Starr vs Sylas Styles Bobby Williams vs Mr.Int Matthias Marlfox vs Angel Fyre Jon Pyro vs Nate Michaels Avenger vs Ethan Quinn. Aj Pain vs Ashe

The next night of the tournament was a huge night. The table was set as the action was fast and furious. First match was AJ Pain vs Ashe. Both men shiwed why the following of their careers was what it was. Ashe the current VP World Champion had momentum but AJ Pain who had nothing to lose fougbt like it. Going back and forth for almost 15 minutes. Ashe had him on the ropes but was wounded by the hardcore attack. Ashe went for a high fly move and missed. AJ took the opportunity to slap on the Anaconda Vise and won by submission.
Next match of the night was Joker vs Sentoryu. Both huge names and favorites to go a long way. Only problem was only 1 would go on. Joker was a fast starter as his quick moves gave him the upper hand but Sentoryu who had better agility was a reversal icon as his martial arts showed why he was the best over at IW. The IW Gladiator Champion battled as the much was entertaining but at the end Sentoryu won with a modified suplex and covered for the victory.
Next match was perhaps the most hypee match of the night. The legend vs legend match. Sylas Styles vs Brent Starr. Both men with huge accolades as they eyeballed each other. Brent the more technical while Sylas the more aggressive. Brent was just a little better as he weathered the storm and beat Styles under 13 minutes. His modified ddt was the difference as the fans could not get enough.
Bobby Williams vs Mr.Int was next. Bobby a big name over at BWA while Int was becoming a big deal over at VP. Both men were very good but Bobby maybe losing that BWA World Title still lingered with him. Int was much better as Bobby lasted only 7 minutes. Maybe a bad night but Int moves on as Bobby goes to the Mid South Tourney. At the end the Fisherman Suplex was the move that ended the match.
Scott Manor one of the favorites took on the young Scott Joseph. This was a beating that lasted 5 minutes. Most of the match was outside as Manor slammed Joseph through the announce table and speared him through the barricade. Manor won by countout.
Mathias Marlfox vs Angel Fyre. Matthias one of the best mat to mat wrestlers vs all that Hollywood has to offer. A match I personally couldn't wait to see. Angel who was the World Class Champion was better on this night. He had his mojo going and blocked an attack that some including myself thought was going to give Marlfox the victory. But out of nowhere comes the RKO and Fyre moves on.
Jon Pyro vs Nate Michaels was next. Nate who had been away from VP for a minute was spotted in Memphis and on this night he took his frustrations on Pyro. Jon battled but was no match for Nate. Nate F5 Pyro on the concrete floor and later put Pyro in his modified Torture Rack to win by submission.
The last match of the night was England's own Ethan Quinn vs the legend in the Avenger. What a battle it was. The Avenger showed why he was a legend as he busted open Ethan. Ethan got fired up as that seemed to get him going as 18 minutes later Ethan delivers his Wresling Slam and by most accounts shocked the world by defeating the Avenger.

Then there was 8. 4 matches as we found our final 4.
AJ Pain vs Sentoryu. AJ who beat one world champion had to face another. My cards were on Sentoryu but at times you get dealt a bad hand and lose. That is what happened to Sentoryu. He was my pick to make it to the finals to face Manor but Pain was having none of that. Again Pain wore down the great warrior and locked his Vise and won by submission. Not to fret Sentoryu fans he still has a chance to walk out as Mid South Champion.
Brent Starr vs Mr.Int. A match that was gonna show who was the better tech guy. Int who had momentum and he used it. He was just a little better on this night. He delivered on moves and when Starr thought he had the win secured he missed on a top rope move. Int capitalized by using a modified pile driver for the victory.
Scott Manor vs Angel Fyre. Match of the night. Two rivals battling back and forth as Angel delivered two RKO moves on the outside as it looked like my pick to win it all was gonna fall short. But Manor being a legend himself delivered his finisher that looked like a modified sambo suplex as Fyre lost wondering where that came from .
Nate Michaels vs Ethan Quinn. Two men from the same company that wanted to show why they are the best. Nate looked like Nate and Ethan looked like Ethan. Both men on their game as reversals galore came out but it was Ethan who was able to deliver those patented German suplexes at the right time and get the pinfall. Both men busted open and tired.

The final 4
AJ Pain vs Mr.Int. What a match. 15 minutes of the best action you will ever see. AJ who had a tough road was starting out good. The hardcore icon gave plenty of punishment to Int. Going in and out of the ring. Int looked like his run was over. He heard the crowd want more out of him and he got his second wind. AJ really wasn't the same after Int got to rolling. Too much for AJ to overcome and Int won by pinfall.
Scott Manor vs Ethan Quinn. Ethan threw everything at Manor and nothing was keeping Manor from moving on. Manor was just better on this night. Ethan will have his day but this was Manor's time as he pinned Ethan at the 14 minute mark with the crowd cheering for the action to continue.

The Final.
Max King walks down with the Southern Heavyweight Title. He shows both men the big prize. One man would walk out as champion while the other man would be in the final of the Mid South Title. Max holds the title high in the air as the ref motions to ring the bell. Scott Manor and Mr.Int the two left started out in a tie up. Both men wanted the title as the match lasted almost 17 minutes. Mr.Int who looked like he was gonna walk out as Champion could feel it. But Manor was better. Everytime Int had something going, Manor would reverse it. The action went outside as both men beat each other down. Both bleeding as the ref wanted to stop it but Max King said no. So the match continued.
As it continued , Manor gave a few backdrops and big boots to the face of Int. Int was wounded but not done. He reversed things and suplexed him as it was a pin move via Fisherman. The ref counted to 2 then Manor kicked out. Everyone thought Int won even myself. Manor shook it off and seemed to fire him up. Blood gushing and worn out, he found enough to come after Int. He came with punches and kicks. He delivered a modified atomic drop that stunned Int. The crowd was jacked and so was Manor. He taunted int and put him in his finisher the modified Sambo Suplex. He covers Int as the ref counted to 3.
Manor rolls off not believing he won. These nights took a toll on him. But my pick won the title and I walked in the ring and placee the title over his shoulder. He was estatic as he fell to his knees kissing the title. We have our first ever Southern Heavyweight Champion.

{Final} Mr. International def Angel Fyre
Mr. International vs Angel Fyre The match was a great one. A great final as both men who earned this match. Angel had to go through 3 men before facing International in the final. International had a long wait as he lost to Manor in the final of the Southern Heavyweight Championship. But the match was a good one as both men came throwing blows to each other. Angel looked like the better man for most of the match as he delivered multiple punches and high impact moves. The action stayed mostly in the ring as Angel dropped International with his famous Tiger Bomb pin. The crowd thought it was over and as the hand went to 3, International kicked out. He made a comeback of his own as delivered a huge knee facebuster move that cut Angel open. Angel looks at disbelief as he was trying to shake off the cobwebs. And out of nowhere International puts Angel in his Fisherman Suplex Pin. But no good was that move as Angel kicked out after 1. Angel really knew he had a fight on his hands as one of the best wrestlers over at Viral Pro showed why he came to Memphis. Angel at this point was just trying to survive and make a few moves. And as Interntional went for a punch, Angel reversed it with his RKO move. The crowd got jacked and as he went for the cover it was over until International kicked out at the count of 2. Angel was shocked and before he could collect himself, International put him in the Fisherman Suplex Pin again but this time it was too much for Angel Fyre. Mr. International walks away with the Mid South Championship.
Max King walks in the ring to give the new champion his gold as he knew that he was the better man and starts tapping the title as he walks out leaving Angel Fyre in the ring coming oh so close to another championship.
