Hello everyone and welcome to ViralPro OTR. I am your host 'Smart' Mark Weiss. Now many have been wondering what has happened to the afterstream. Just been on hiatus as I toured the world promoting ViralPro.
Now ViralPro OTR is going to be a monthy series where I sit down with different Viral Superstars and talk to them as they appear in day to day life. Not what you see weekly on camera. An out of character interview so to speak.
Now my first guest on the show is none other then the first ViralPro World Champion; Big Red, Nate Michaels.
Now Nate welcome to the show
Nate:" Thanks for havin me Mark."
So Nate you've been out of action for almost a month now after dropping the World Title. Why is that?
Nate:" Well at Ascension I was booked to defeat Buck and Ashe and that would have set up a triple threat at this months ppv. But two things happened. One during my match with Buck I ended up spraining my knee, and made it incredibly difficult to walk. The second thing was between my matches I found out my father had passed away."
Sorry to hear that Nate.
Nate: " Thanks, he was a great man, I wouldn't be who I was if it wasn't for him, and I miss him greatly."
So both of these affected the end result of the Ascension?
Nate: "Yea, I could have worked through the pain, just appeared on X-Stream and recovered, but when I found out dad died, I approached management and asked if I could drop the belt so I could go home and spend time with the family. Ashley wasn't impressed, and it also screwed with plans for Sebastian to cost me the title to advance our feud, but; they agreed. Besides me winning a ladder match is pretty rare, so it was reasonable that Ashe could outspeed me even if he did have a busy night."
So you brought up Avenger, and that leads us to Raiyven. What's your relationship with the Wildcats Champion?
Nate: " Well Silva approached us about becoming romanticly involved. She was the Vixxens champ, and wanted to draw more attention to us. I mean we live in a house full of camera's something has to be happening. So it started off as an act, but after a few weeks we started to date off camera. Now what you see between us is well...us. "
So why did you want to come out of retirement?
Nate: "I started to miss it. You miss the fans, you miss performing. So Ashley approached me one day and said "Nate, I want you! I need someone that is a big name, and can show up every week" so of course I was flattered. She wanted me to help put over the less known talent that were looking to break out. "
Speaking of breakout talent. Be honest who do you see as a future World Champion?
Nate: "Ethan Quinn! Hands down. The kid has charisma, he has the wrestling skill, he has the look. I've worked with him a few times and the guy knows how to make a match exciting. Right now he's holding two titles and was a serious threat to the world title when I won it."
So you've worked with nearly everyone on the roster, who was your favorite to work with?
Nate: "Cesare. He was the first guy they asked me to put over, and we had a lot of fun in our match ups. A good guy too, we had a few beers after Infection to celebrate, not many people know about that. So of course when he asked me to be the one to take him out of the storylines to go be with family I agreed. Though I'd still like to have another match with the big man."
You've had a lot of big matches, but one that really stands out this year, for me at least was the hour long, triple threat, 2 falls to the finish for the BOTN title with Matthias and Mr. Wrestling. How hard was that, and where does it rank for you?
Nate: "Both men were great to work with, and ill admit that it was tough, since at the time we couldn't leave the ring. But both Wrestling and Matthias have excellent cardio, and were all game to put on a show for the fans with the title on the line. Its diffenitly in my top 5 matches of all times."
If you could have a match with one person, who would it be?
Nate:" tough question. One match. I would say Sylas Styles. Him and I have never fought in the ring at the same time. He's first ballot hall a famer, a fellow canuck, and I think we could put on a hell of a match if we were given the chance!"
Well Nate I would like to thank you once again for being the first guest on Viral OTR.
Nate:" No problem Mark"
So when can we expect to see you back on TV?
Nate:" All in due time Mark. Just going to need to keep watching."
