So I'm sure that on the next gen versions of SVR2011, even though clothes patterns were not returned the British Union Jack pattern was not. I don't ahve my 360 copy of 2011 anymore to check myself; but I'm sat here on PCSX2 emulator and it's here in the PS2 version. I'm going to be mightily pissed off if the PS2 version got stuff I wanted.

The Playstation 2 versions of SVR'09, SVR'10, and SVR'11 all had the same CAW mode. WWE'12 on the Wii was the same. Only they would omit parts from the mode instead of adding onto it, making CAW creating really frustrating. SVR'11 lacked a majority of bra-layers which made making female wrestlers extremely boring. Patterns stayed, but were missing from the PS3/360 versions, since the mode had been carried over from SVR'09 on older consoles.

I know after being removed at one point in the series, patterns did return to the next-gen games, but they were missing many of the ones I used to make most use of back in 2006, such as the union jack. So bloody annoyed right now; as the jump to next-gen and 3D modelling completely ruined many of the hair pieces I used back on PS2 because they looked like arse (too big).

These two seriously need updating.
I know for a fact that in svr08-wwe13 we've had some 'new' moves which have lasted only like 2 or 3 games before getting removed again. If PCSX2 wasn't so bad at emulating the wrestling games in particular I would try to make one myself.

You know... watching these old videos and then dicking around on JBI-SYM-HCTP earlier tonight, I am immediately struck with how easy the older games were to play. Running towards the ropes and hitting 'x' on the PS2 controller ALWAYS performed a running dive to the outside, no matter if you were repeatedly mashing it on your way towards the ropes, or you pressed it once and timed it just right. Quick, simple, and fluid. Try doing that shit on recent games and you're likely to do a running attack in the ring before reaching the ropes and fall on your face, or rebounding off the ropes and doing a running attack towards the center of the ring.
I also saw how it was fun to play with the real wrestlers not just because the rosters were star-studded, but because everyone wrestled differently due to the personalized move animations. Not like how everyone gets the new scoop slam, the new twisting belly to back suplex in today's games...
Hmm....
