Divide by Disturbed plays over the PA as Manor makes his way out onto the stage to boos wearing his purple and gold tights. He makes his way down to the ring ignoring the crowd before climbing into the ring and grabbing a mic.
Last night I said would be the first step to capturing the Gladiator Title and it went off without a hitch when I defeated Craig. And lets face it, if anyone is gonna be IW's top champion it should be me.
I was robbed of a chance at it by your hero, Sentoryu last season. My track record for leaving a mark speaks for itself. And wouldn't you want someone who wears the colors of your company to represent you as your top champion? I mean I'm not the type of person to run a business, but if I were to want someone to hold my top title, someone not afraid to wear the colors of my company week in and week out would be pretty close to the top of the list. The crowd boos Manor as he pauses briefly.
But we all know that's not the case. No, we want to ride the gravy train of Starr's comeback to glory as long as we can. And why not. The guy was constantly railed with criticism that he didn't have it anymore. And then out of nowhere he beats me in a battle royal to get a shot at Angel Fyre and wins the big one. He beats the unbeatable when others failed showing he still had it.
And he's still going. Sure he had a road bump, but he recovered and opened the season beating Sentoryu. Good on you, man. I hope you hold onto that title for a while. There's no sarcasm when I say that. There's no one I'd rather win that title from than you, Starr so I hope you continue to have a successful run. Manor pauses briefly to either think or catch his breath after that little bit.
As for tonight. I took the first step last night. Lets continue to build up me up as the Gladiator of the season tonight. Bring me out an opponent for me to use as a stepping stone. Manor lowers the mic waiting to see who comes out. He had name dropped Starr again tonight during an open challenge. He didn't do it out of disrespect, but simply to make sure Starr didn't forget that Manor wasn't sitting off to the side anymore. He was now gunning for the top spot himself.

The mournful wail of a Biwa plays. The Stage area fills with a smoky haze.
Your entire life has brought you to this moment.
As the words of the japanese elder fades the crowd erupts as Sentoryu emerges though the haze. Walking to the ring, down the ramp, everyone can see he had altered his entrance attire and ring gear. Mounting the steps Sentoryu pauses to bow to the crowd, the fans were still cheering loudly for him chanting something kinda harsh for Sentoryu to do to Manor ***F'EM up they chanted. Sentoryu laughs slightly feeling a bit uncomfortable at the thought of F'in anything up. He had done that in '11 he also did so at the end of last season losing to Starr. He also repeated it in the debut main event of the I:W season last week. Moving to the center of the ring standing in front of Manor he bows. His head remains lowered as he raises his mic, his voice is a low with a sing song cadence.
Oh Great Spirit, Creator of all things; Human Beings, trees, grass, berries. Help us, be kind to us. Let us be happy on earth. Let us lead our children To a good life and old age. These our people; give them good minds To love one another. Oh Great Spirit, Be kind to us Give these people the favor To see green trees, Green grass, flowers, and berries This next spring; So we all meet again Oh Great Spirit, We ask of you.
Sentoryu slowly raises his head ,his eyes lock to Manor's. Fire dances in Sentoryu's eyes. He then moves very close to Manor, he cocks his head slightly as he is very close to Manor's face. Sentoryu's head starts to bob slightly as he begins to speak to his adversary, Sentoryu's now comes dark and harsh, almost like he was vomiting the words out.
Manor.... Why is it that my name rolls off your tongue every time your lips part? What have you against me and the things I do in this company. You mentioned last week that I had had brought up something about me being humble.... I do not recall ever using that word in any promo past or present. Mine you I will use it now as I was humbled ,and a little in awe of Starr's skill last week. You also just said you did something that would put you on course to be next in line for the Gladiator championship. What was that? You beat who Helman? Why would that put you as next in line? He was never elevated to the main event last year. Had he even gotten to the mid card? I propose to you this You want to get at Starr's title then how about you go though me tonight. Then you can actually say that you aleast beat a contender. Let me warn you in advance, I have turned a new leaf, gone is the worrying soul of last season. I have paid my dues last year for sins of the past. I have Made good on my promise to the fans to make amends for the heinous crimes of '11, the destruction of Blaze by the use of Big K. In this I can do my own destroying. The fighting wardragon begins with you.

Manor raises his mic looking at Sentoryu. I never said my win last night put me next in line for a shot, but that it was the first step towards the Gladiator Title and that I was deserving of that title. Manor pauses as he glares at Sentoryu while the crowd boos him. See I realize it bugs you that I keep mentioning you. Maybe it's because you spent so much time in Japan that you think of yourself as like Japan. An island. But I spent most of my time in America. I was conditioned to be aware of what goes on around me.
And what has been going on around me is the guy who you know...kinda lost at the end of the season last year had the first crack at the title. A shrug of Manor's shoulders. And he kinda lost again. The crowd boos Manor some more as he constantly beats those losses like a dead horse. Manor just smiles and continues when the boos die down.
I realize IW is doing a global tour thing these days so manipulating these idiots can be more of a challenge, but we're not in Japan all the time either. Maybe there, it's all about what you do in the ring. I mean sure I could and maybe should rob you the chance to stop my rise back to the top this week, just like you robbed me of a shot at the title last season. The crowd cheers the mention of Sentoryu beating Manor fair and square to face Starr one-on-one for the title as Manor pauses and mouths for the crowd to shut up.
But why bother. Like I told Craigy last week. And just like you need to learn Sentoryu. Perception is reality. And no one is better at playing that game than yours truly. I made a career out of it. But it helps I didn't have some old geezer to give me crap advice or guidance. By the way, how is he? I know they say you get wiser with age, but the crazy starts to set in too and soon... Before he can finish his sentence, the crowd drowns Manor in boos for even attempting to take shots at Hideaki Fuyuki who had recently passed away. And Manor's smirk just grew as he knew that too and would stoop to any low to provoke Sentoryu. He could create as many reasons for why he disliked Sentoryu, but at the end of the day, he it was a form of jealousy that Sentoryu was acknowledged essentially as his equal or superior depending on who you asked. Manor knew there was a good chance of him losing this match, but if he was going to, then he was gonna make damn sure people still remembered and talked about him even if it was with disgust.

Sentoryu stand quietly, intently listening to what Manor has to say. His words float aimlessly, fluttering to a rest on his eardrums. Nothing of real substance in them Sentoryu thought to himself, until the mention of Fuyuki. Sadness grips him suddenly, now Manor's words go unheard. Turning from Manor, Sentoryu walks to the ropes. He leans against them, his fist grasps the top rope , the veins of his arm pop as he is now holding the rope in a viselike grip. His head is bowed, he can still hear Manors voice droning on in the background. He raises his head, turning slightly he speaks again ,his voice tiny but forceful.
DO what you must. I have the greatest respect for what you do in this business. Pick your poison, whatever match you feel will showcase your skills the best. I will give you fair warning in advance. The man you see here before you is not what you seen in the ring last week. You spoke a name you should not have. I will make you rue the use of that name. These fans will get what they want, I will show them your more chiwawa then mastif. all bark no bite.
With that Sentoryu still with a heavy heart drops and rolls under the bottom rope. Jumps the barrier and disappears into the welcoming sea of the fans beyond.

Manor locks in the sleeper, of all moves, Sentoryu struggles to break free. His head is swimming, he begins to feel the effects of the move. The blood flow was starting to slow to his brain. His arm was now tingling, he looks at his hand, flexes it the feeling was now gone in it. As Manor again squeezes down on his neck, Sentoryu looks out to the fans, a twinge of sadness again fills him. He could see them chanting for him to break free, to make a comeback. Sentoryu knew he was not getting out of this hold. He was going to have to tap or he would soon be out and just dropped to the canvas, not unlike a forgotten toy.
Was this how this season was to go? First he had come up short in his attempt to recapture the title. Now he can not even break free of a sleeper hold? The ref grabs his arm ...raises it falls ...once twice... Sentoryu waves him off.... Sentoryu taps out.
Kneeling on the canvas he watches as Manor celerbrates his win, a hard fought win at that. Manor tonight was the better man. Had he gotten into Sentoryu's head with the comments about Sentoryu's father? Had Sentoryu really just submitted to a sleeper? Or had Sentoryu just given up? Sentoryu rolls out to the arena floor, His hand grasps the bottom rope, as he is hunched over his hair hiding his face. What was it he would have to do to get back on track, Three losses in a row dating back to the end of last season. Was Sentoryu's time passed? Sentoryu did not know the answers. But he would soon ask knew questions, of himself and of others. Standing Sentoryu slowly walks up the ramp not really taking into account that the fans are chanting his name even though he had lost mingled in are the harsh boos directed towards Manor. These fall on deaf ears as Sentoryu is not in the arena anymore his mind is on the hillsides of MT. Fuji envisioning the mists as they fill the valleys, sifting though the trees hiding the peak from view. This was what Sentoryu wanted right now to be hidden from view. Walking slowly he slips behind the curtain and is gone.
