1: Simulcast does not work. A: Way too confusing to know whats going on, B: No audio, C: No entrances to know whose fighting who. D: Boring to watch
2: Matches should be uploaded individually. Doing it all at once makes it difficult to locate the match that you want to view.
3: Did not find link to video on board.

Although I would love to be able to see matches individually, especially for personal use, for the most part I've enjoyed the set up. Simulcast saves me a lot of time on watching matches since occasionally I am involved in the other show or if I'm not interested in a match I can focus on the other show like I did in the beginning.
I definitely prefer IW/VP's setup for doing matches to the traditional one. It encourages me to watch the matches more and usually there are people to chat with during the stream to make it enjoyable even if I'm not invested in the match.

See 1.A, with a proper card lineup you can skim the video to watch the match you wish to watch knowing exactly where it appears on the video itself. (I.E Cabal v Whomever at 32:55). 3. Yeah no topic with proper link was posted. I ended up finding it clicking to watch Showdown and say they were broadcasting PPV as well.

The problem I have is I can't watch the shows on this phone. I can't download apps to ad me either so I must ask people how my matches go. Which drops my knowing of what action took place in the match.

Matches are way hard for me to watch with this set up. I'm fine with cliffnotes though. Just way too busy. Cranked out a website all week that's ready to go live, got finalization on another one and I'm wrist deep in another one and a logo with what looks to be a pile of freelance cell phone case template work coming tomorrow. Yeah... I get a few minutes I'm waking my Xbox up from its week and a half snooze lol.

1: Simulcast does not work. A: Way too confusing to know whats going on, B: No audio, C: No entrances to know whose fighting who. D: Boring to watch.1. A. Don't see how it's confusing to watch? One side was IW's PPV and the other was VP's. Things would happen in one (Ethan beat Bobby Williams to become BWA World champion) which would later affect the other (Ethan wears BWA World title at VP's PPV later in the evening). B. If there was audio on a simulcast, the two would become a garbled mess of different themesongs and fighting noises. I don't think anyone would want that. Most people say they don't listen to the streams with very much sound anyway, be it because they switch tabs to other things like a YouTube video and cast one eye over the matches, or they watch late at night when others are in bed etc. C. Entrances aren't needed to tell you who's fighting, that will come over time with being already familliar with the characters. Reading their roleplays and looking at their avatars etc. Discussions keep coming-up about entrances on here and in the FaceBook group. A likely solution is that we will settle into either all title matches in IW/VP having entrances, or all PPV matches. D. Both IW's Survive & Conquer (1hr Iron Man, Royal Rumble, Championship Scramble) and VP's Ascension (Tournament) contained extra matches which added to the length of both PPVs. The 4hr30mins(ish) length of both PPVs is usually more like 1hr - 3hrs depending on how much each company has receieved roleplays that week. But neither should be 'boring' to watch, especially if it's the company your character is employed by. For what it's worth, simulcasts are not how the shows are done every week. They will only be used when two PPVs collide in the same country and/or there is a lot of crossover storylines. I believe the next planned one is in June when both companies are in Japan, if I remember correctly. 2: Matches should be uploaded individually. Doing it all at once makes it difficult to locate the match that you want to view.2. IW nor VP have the funds to purchase a website domain to throw matches onto a website's server via FTP. If I remember correctly Mr. Silva asked about a member chip-in towards one because his research indicated that sites wanted a bulk payment up-front (and I may have also done the same at another time for IW), but those didn't go ahead as most members are as strapped for cashola as the admins are. Elsewhere on the internet, YouTube blocks videos from appearing in all but two strange countries dependant on the entrance theme songs used (as VP found out with their Risky Business PPV) or suspends accounts forever when WWE makes false ownership/copywrite claims on their game's footage. Other video sites such as UStream, JustinTV and DailyMotion have strange restrictions like only allowing 10 minute videos, or videos being deleted after 6 days/2 weeks. One even moved to an all premium service, but can't remember which one that was. Or they have long since died, unable to compete with the YouTube monster. Streaming really is the best option we have found. As Manor put it, streaming helps create a better community, through the chatbox talk whilst the stream is happening, and the fact that this way members are likely to watch more matches than just their own. 3: Did not find link to video on board. There is a pinned 'Match Cards Official Thread' at the top of the IWVP PPV & TV Shows' board. (Located Here: efed.boards.net/thread/631/match-cards ). This is where the match listing for each efed's shows are totted up each week, along with other discussion that would otherwise clutter and confuse the weekly event threads; which are posted later for quick reference. The video location is listed each week at the top of each show's list of matches, as it has been on recent previous weeks' individual threads as well. http://www.twitch.tv/innovationwrestling http://www.twitch.tv/viralpro EDIT: The change to ProBoards V5 has turned previous links to each feds channell into embedded links.

I use a mobile and cannot view the streams.
Two ways around this that I know of. Possibly more, depending on phone manufactoer and model. Unfortunatly I can't give any more help as I am only 'just' getting to grips with smartphones and tablets myself.
1. Use the Twitch.tv app from the iOS/Google PLAY store to view Twitch.tv videos, because the website doesn't work for you.
2. Download Firefox for Mobile (also sometimes known as Fennec). Download the add-on 'Phoney' and spoof your user agent as 'FireFox Desktop'. This should load the Twitch.tv website correctly, with twitch thinking you are on a regular desktop pc and not a smartphone.

In response to Karl's responses:
1: I realize 1 side was IW and the other was VP. That wasn't what I was getting at. I should have elaborated more, but I'll do it here. Having them both go at the same time makes it difficult to watch one or the other. It's distracting. It takes away from the immersion. Think of it this way, how would it be if WWE did a simulcaste of 2 PPVs at the same time the way that it was done here? It would be a complete disaster. Simulcast does not work and it is not enjoyable. I would rather have read who won than attempt to watch the video. Simulcast should be scrapped completely. This goes into the 2nd point about no audio. No audio makes it boring to watch. I have no reason to watch a simulcast in it's current state. The ONLY reason why I even bothered to watch it was to see how Cabal did and that was a pain in the ass to watch via mobile. Just because you think it's a great idea doesn't mean it is. It's a poor execution and it does not work. You are the first that I know of that does this and it was a complete failure. You can't keep using your ideas when people are openly speaking agains them Karl. Bottom line, Simulcast does not work, it needs to be scrapped completely and the normal way of doing things needs to be implemented.
C: I disagree with you here. Entrances are needed. Entrances do more than tell whose fighting(No, I don't read everything, I don't have the time to but I would like to know whose fighting who). Including entrances only takes a few additional minutes and adds so much more. You've already seen my previous thread about limiting changes to Caws to include entrances in matches.
2: No one said anything about needing a server. You can use youtube, dailymotion, etc. There are TONS of video uploading sites that can be used for free to upload the matches individually. If you refuse to upload them individually then make a list of watch match plays at what time so people can go to that specific point instead of attempting to find their match. Myself, I am more likely to watch more matches if they are uploaded individually because I can consume them at my own pace rather than it being done all at once.
The Twitch.TV app didn't work very well when I attempted to use it.
Overall, the current way matches are presented, quite frankly, are complete garbage. Boring to watch, completely immersion breaking. If this is how things will continue, then I won't be watching them and less likely to participate. The whole point of video simming is to be able to watch and be immersed. The current version of how things are done is like 5 steps backwards. The way that it was done before works. Don't fix what isn't broken. This is very much broken right now.

1: A simulcast with no audio is in no way 'boring', again I point out that most people repeatedly say that they watch the weekly streams of both shows silently or with low audio for a collection of reasons. A simulcat with both sides having audio would be 'actively bad'. Between the physical grunts blurring into each other, themesongs playing during entrances and the fucking ass crowd audio where it hikes up the noise and stays there as a long drone, it would give you a headache very quickly.
Some people actually like the simulcast set-up, or the streaming set-up. Indeed the idea of streaming is not my idea, but Mr. Showtime's, specifically "because" of the problems that exist with uploading individual matches to video sites (expanded upon later in response to 2.). As for "keep using your ideas when people are openly speaking agains them", I've also expanded upon that in response to 2.
In a broarder, general sense, the simulcast is not planned for every week use. Mostly for big PPVs if there is going to be a lot of crossover happening. If there is a better way to achieve this, I am all ears.
And plans are being discussed to include entrances in some form, as previously discussed. But they're not needed. Knowing who the fighters are will come with reading people's roleplays and getting a wider appreciation for the fed as a whole rather than just your own character's feud etc. Which really goes hand-in-hand with my next point.
The only people whom I have seen [occasionally] have something negative to say about the twitch.tv streaming set-up verses the old way of individually uploading matches are specifically people who don't seem to a lot of free time available or which are inconvenienced by some other factor. Maybe they have to do most of their internet browsing via a mobile device and are experiencing problems accessing twitch.tv in order to watch the live stream. Or they have internet connection issues in general/they cannot watch the stream as it is being broadcast live due to being tired from work, or simply not being at their computer when the stream is happening. For those people the replays are avaliable to watch later when they are sat at a desktop pc or a laptop, when they have a stable internet connection, or when they have the time to watch. Weather they want to watch the entire card or just skip around the timeline until they find their match (or for future events they will have a time-stamp to know exactly which point to skip to).
The flipside of that coin is that those who are able to watch the streams live by definition are watching what is happening throughout the whole fed, rather than just their own character(s). They can chat between themselves and generally have a laugh at characters or blown spots in the matches. It's usually easier on simmers too to stream events than the old way which needs lots of time and involves lots of video editing - important when you consider that I am the only one doing IW's events, and Mr Silva was the only one doing VP's (C'mon Sylas, get that video capture card already). Of course, with Silva's computer now dead, I will be doing both show's matches and changing the streaming method to compensate. We don't have a mini-army doing a few matches each. Doing streaming, we also don't have to deal with video site restrictions. I have already posted about YouTube's issues with videos being blocked/taken-down or accounts being suspended due to entrance themes and copyright claims. It was Viddler who changed from a free service to an all-paid service if memory serves correctly. And I think DailyMotion, USTREAM and Justin.TV all introduced asshole restrictions like videos being removed quickly, or videos only allowed to be a short amount of time. Streaming is the best 'free' option we have found. Again, if there's a better way, I'm all ears.

You are correct about Viddler going from free to pay to use service. Dailymotion has gotten more anal with their services. Never used UStream or Justin.tv so cannot chime in on their service. Veetle offers streaming services to another site I haven't tried out to give pros & cons on thou, just throwing the name out there so you can check it out in your downtime.

Can we please get a resaults tread.
I would like to know how the matches went. Such as.
Wrestler a jobbed out to wrestler b. Finish came after a missed springboard, where b quickly hit the finisher for the upset

I'm sure that is doable. All it would take is someone who was watching the stream to write down the finish, and just paste it into a thread when the show is done.

Anybody else feel like if he bounces it will be like announcing to someone on Twitter that you're unfollowing them?
Things aren't ideal, but things don't change just because one persons just joins and raises a stink about it. People run stuff the best way they deem fit on their dime and their time. Don't dictate that they're doing it wrong. You did your research wrong.

Finish came after a missed springboard, where b quickly hit the finisher for the upset could have a text fed write up for each match just a little blurb of what went down and the winner. Could be done as it is streaming. I may give it a go for those that dont have time to watch it as I make time to sit down and watch it all and chit chat in the chat box as i like to do it that way gives for me the show more realism.

Don't dictate that they're doing it wrong. You did your research wrong. I never said I was quitting. Don't read into things that aren't there. All I did was point out things that I feel could be improved upon. I'm not saying they have to change anything. I do feel things could be done to make it more enjoyable to watch more so than in it's current state. What Karl & Co decide to do is on them. Whatever decisions they make, I'll respect, doesn't mean I have to like them. Quite frankly Jon, I know you have issues with me and I know you don't like me. Maybe you should realize the actual definition between dictate and suggestion. What I was doing was providing suggestions for improving. If you don't like my suggestions, then fine, no one is asking you to like them, but quite frankly some of your "opinions" are better left in your throat rather than spewed out when it comes to me.

Um, dude? "If this is how things will continue, then I won't be watching them and less likely to participate." pretty much implies there is a high probability that you could quit over the situation. It's not like Jon has made a huge gap in logic. If this thread has been your idea of suggesting improvements then I have to say 'wow'. There are softer ways to suggest an improvement rather than giving the impression that you think that only your opinion/method is the correct one and the current setup is boring and garbage.
I'll leave the comments about Jon alone, in the hopes that you and he can fix things between yourselves away from the board, but the bottom line is that no one here wants any drama to escalate.
I think we should take the positives that came out of this thread (the creation of match time stamps and the higher possibility of entrances for matches) and call it a day, locking the thread.
