The camera fades in on Manor standing backstage dressed to compete tonight. He was excited to finally have a shot at the title even it wasn't one-on-one. He felt that he more than deserved this opportunity and was hoping to be able to capitalize on it.
Tonight, after fighting to get a shot at the gold, I've gotten the chance to reclaim what's mine. From the moment I came back, I've had my eye on the prize, but everything has gotten in my way. It's like the world that once held me as its champion, has turned their back on me and so I had to scratch and claw and earn and re-earn a shot at something that should be around my waist right now. Of course it's not the one-on-one shot that I deserve, but it's a start.
Tonight I get to mix it up with Angel Fyre. A man who thinks of himself as on or beyond my level, but let me ask you something Fyre. When I was at the top or chasing the top way back when, where were you? Oh you've climbed the ranks while I was gone and got yourself a world title under your belt. But look where you are now that I've entered the hunt and you lost the title. Back where you were when I was around. And as long as I'm here eying the big gold, that's where you're gonna stay.
And then we have Alex Shoque. A gamble for York to put in this match. I mean after all, sure you've wrestled elsewhere, but when it comes to here you're still an unknown factor. While Fyre is that vet you put in a match like this for history value, you're the type of person that gets put in this match for excitement. And not just your usual brand of exciting, which no doubt in that ring, you are exciting. But that, can he do it excitement. That potential huge massive hyper upset excitement. But you're entering a match with the upset king, and tonight won't be your night to hold the gold.
And then we have Bobby Williams. The man who everyone feels lucked out to get his one-on-one match with the champ. And even if he loses, he has another shot the same night. The man who's been around forever, and yet still seems to always fade into the background. A man who's pretty much written off from having any chance at leaving tonight with the gold around the waist as you should be. You're what your dad deserves to be in this company. Just a footnote in its history. It's just a shame, we're in Canada instead of England so that I can see your face when you fail in front of your fellow countrymen. But I'll have to settle for you failing in Canada twice in one night. I mean if Sentoryu has managed to beat someone as great as me, what chance do you have? A pause as he gets ready to talk about someone that he just seems to keep being put into a position to talk about.
And of course we have Sentoryu. There's not much I can say about you that I haven't already said. The world knows I acknowledge your in ring ability, but I don't like you. I see you for the snake you really are. A viper like the rest of us. But I'd be lying if I didn't say you were my biggest threat and obstacle in this match. The Loki to my Thor. But regardless, your belt will be coming home to my waist where it belongs. Manor begins to walk away, but stops realizing he forgot about the mystery person.
And how could I forget that we also have a mystery person in this match too. How could we forget about this person. Who is it that York managed to bring into this match? Some Viral Pro hack, who's audience is the internet? Some relic from the past looking for that quick shot to try and reclaim the glory days? It doesn't matter who it is. At the end of the day, if they're not in IW right now there's a reason for it. They couldn't hack it while I've got my sight set on the top rung of the ladder. And with that, Manor walks off camera as the screen fades to black.
